Hi, I wrote to upstream. The author of minissdpd just told me that v6 support is something new, and that he doesn't think it would be a good idea to activate it by default just now. So I'd rather wait after Wheezy to activate it by default. I will however provide the option in /etc/default as you asked, adding a warning as comment for the option.
