This bug is not yet fixed. tesseract-ocr 3.02-2 (as well as 3.02-1, btw.) still ships with Depends: tesseract-ocr-eng (>= 3.01~) | tesseract-ocr-language (>= 3.01~) Since versioned dependencies consider only real packages, the versioned dependency to the pure virtual tesseract-ocr-language package is completely useless. If you really need to have this dependency versioned, the usual approach is to create a specific versioned virtual package like, for example, xorg-video-abi-$version. Depending tesseract-ocr to tesseract-ocr-language-3.01 and having all the language packages (additionally?) provide this should do the trick. regards Mario -- There are two major products that come from Berkeley: LSD and UNIX.
