That *should* work, and in fact, I know it used to.

I suspect maybe there was an API change to GetOpt.

Does it work with:

hpodder settitle -c 47 '--title=off the hook'

?

You must specify one podcast ID with -c and the new title with -t.
If the title contains spaces, you must enclose it in quotes.
joey@wren:~>hpodder settitle -c 47 -t 'off the hook'
hpodder: user error (settitle: unrecognized arguments; see hpodder settitle
--help)

I removed the space and it worked.
Quite possibly the documentation is just wrong and titles cannot have
spaces for some good reason.
