The notification area icon (a little globe) is cool and useful. However the rest of it's 'space' in the area is made of a white rectangle (around the globe), other icons inherit the colour of the panel behind instead -- currently a light grey for me. I'll follow up the bug with a little screen shot attachment to make the problem clear.
