Hi, FYI, I have applied your patch, and it will be uploaded with the rest of the package improvements (symbol file, etc.). I am also expecting to make a transition to have version 1.6 in SID / testing, which may take a bit more time. In the mean time, you're welcome to use the version in the Git on Alioth (see the package VCS fields).
