Who owns it? I have yet to find a way to reproduce the problem. It works well on all my tests. This directory is generated and not touched after the fact: adduser --system --group --gecos "bucardo" --home /var/lib/bucardo --shell /bin/sh bucardo Frankly I fail how this could end up with the directory being owned by somebody else.
