This is a long-standing bug, and I don't see any sign of the
libnet-server-perl bug being fixed. Wouldn't it be better to remove the
offer to restart, and open a non-RC bug "can't restart after upgrades"?

FWIW, I've seen similar "restarting msva-perl kills the session" behaviour
in GNOME. Restarting most session services (e.g. gnome-session,
gnome-power-manager, ssh-agent, gpg-agent) needs a logout/login, which
isn't ideal, but seems better than forcing a re-login by crashing.
