Hi,

I don't know how easy this is to do, or how important it is, but:

We received a bug report at Debian (http://bugs.debian.org/388027) that
turned out to have been caused by a database server going away and
coming back in the middle of a backup.

The submitter asked if there would be a way to have Bacula attempt to
automatically reconnect to the DB when this happens.

I don't think it would solve his particular problem (unless there were a
some sort of delay/backoff algorithm for the reconnects), but it could
be useful for long-running apps.

If you think that it's better to not do that, in the Keep It Simple,
Stupid principle (or whatever), that's fine and I'll pass it along.

Thanks,

-- John
