Dear Marc,

I've added a simple test suite[0] to the Debian package of since after
I've got a bug report that it doesn't work properly on Debian
GNU/Hurd[1].

The test suite is run at build time and test suite failures hence
trigger build failures[2].

On the mips architecture the test-suite fails and the symptoms are as
following:

$ echo foo > foo
$ since foo
foo
$ since foo
since: considering foo to be truncated, displaying from start
foo
$

See [1] and [2] for the symptoms on the architectures mipsel and mips.

If you want the resulting .since files where the test suite fails, I
can send it to you by e-mail.

Given the different symptoms, I suspect that issue on the different
architectures are different issues.

If fixes cannot be found easily, I'll likely stop building "since" on
these Debian architectures until fixes are found. Since since does not
work on these architectures, I think it's better to not offering at
all on these architectures instead of offering a non-working package.

P.S.: Feel free to include my test suite in your tar-ball. If you do
so, it would be nice, if it would be run when calling "make test".

                Regards, Axel
