The machine is basically a stable(woody) distro on which many packages are upgraded to testing. I do not have the complete list, but at least libc6, apache, php, perl and their depending libraries are updated to the latest testing packages. Kernel is a custom 2.4.23.

The problem does not go away when updating these packages. But I have not tried a complete dist-upgrade. That might solve the problem, but I cannot try that as the machine is in a "production" environment on many other services.

Attached is a tarball of the /etc/apache directory in question.

Hope this is of any help.
