There has been an update to exim and or logrotate that screws with the log files and causes exim to get a permission denied when writing to the log files. For the 2nd day in a row I have had to chmod 666 the exim log files so exim can process email. The new log file is owned by root:adm only writeable by root. I consider this to be a critical error as email is a vital application that has to run without problems.
