I'm not sure if this is related to a new version of gd or maybe perl; in any case, libgdchart-gd1 still builds but it also doesn't have a test suite so maybe you should take a look at that package as well. I've reproduced this on powerpc and i386. > Automatic build of libgd-perl_1.41-12 on derision by sbuild/powerpc 1.1.1.1 > Build started at 20041120-1434 ... > NOTICE: This module requires libgd 1.8.4 or higher (shared library version > 4.X). > > If you experience compile problems, please check the @INC, @LIBPATH and @LIBS > arrays defined in Makefile.PL and manually adjust, if necessary. > > Checking if your kit is complete... > Looks good > Writing Makefile for GD > make -C . Closes: bug#282293 (thanks to Martin Michlmayr <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and Niko Tyni <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>). * Use official cdbs rules (all local tweaks adopted upstream). * Use local cdbs snippet for dh-buildinfo. * Build-depend on libpng12-dev (was pulled in by libgd-dev, but policy demands explicit dependency). * Tighten build-dependency on debhelper (don't remember why...). * Set urgency=medium as no binaries have changed and we really need this in sarge (other packages depend on it).
