Package: netbase Version: 4.29 Severity: grave One system, two interfaces, eth0 with an external IP and eth1 with an RFC1918 IP. There was a NFS share configured in /etc/fstab, which was reachable through eth1. This setup worked fine with sarge.
After upgrading to etch, it seems that the init script tries to mount the NFS share directly after getting up eth0, but with eth1 still down. This failed of course, the system stopped booting, and I had to press ctrl+c to get the boot process continue. No timeout happened. The solution was to move eth1 on top in /etc/network/interfaces, so eth1 is the interface which gets started before the other interface. Severity grave, because it makes a remote upgrade from sarge to etch impossible. Norbert -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
