Package: xinetd
Version: 1:2.3.10-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

please do not disable inetd (moving init.d/inetd to init.d/inetd.real)
without permission of the user. This will break all inetd based
services, which are at this time not manually merged to the new xinetd.conf
file.

Maybe some users want to use both internet daemons. Maybe because inetd
is better supported from the most packages, but xinetd support ip-adress
binding. So only one special service is activated through xinetd and all
other services using inetd.

After the installation inetd is stopped. I think this should only
happen, if the user merge the services and/or allow the postinst script
to disable inetd.

Thanks for your help
Thorsten
