Actually, it looks like it would be pretty easy to implement properly in PyGTK. I took a quick look at the source of Zenity last night and I see no problems with using Zenity's own glade file for the widgets and translating the C to Python. It looks like a weekend project to me.

It might be a good project to get up to speed on PyGTK, Siegfried. My wild guess is it'll take a few good days to learn what you need to rewrite it but it's definitely worth knowing if you use Python a lot. I'll be willing to take a crack at it if you don't have to time. Totally up to you.
