Hello, I don't think this problem has been resolved. http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/b/bonnie++/bonnie++_1.03b.1/bonnie++.copyright
That still says: "Copyright: GPL 2.0" instead of eg. "Copyright 2008 Justin Pryzby". The GPL is not a copyright holder, but a license. Ideally the copyright holder would be listed in a separate section (in addition to "Upstream Author:" since they can be distinct parties), the license would be listed under a section called "License:", and the gpl boilerplate would be included (followed by the pathname to the complete GPL). > From: Justin Pryzby <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: Debian Bug Tracking System <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: normal > Date: Wed, 12 Jan 2005 12:22:49 -0500 > Package: bonnie++ > Version: 1.03a > Severity: normal > > The copyright file of this package seems to use the *license*, instead > of the copyright holder in the style of "Copyright (C) 2005 by Justin > Pryzby". > > Please see this thread: > > http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2004/03/msg02190.html > From: Russell Coker <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: seems OK to me > Date: Wed, 5 Dec 2007 08:59:59 +1100 > > The copyright file has separate sections for "copyright" and "license". -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
