Hello Beat,
I am currently working on the Debian package for asclock, adding
language detection at runtime. During related work I noticed that the
license given is inconsistent:

In README:
COPYING
This is GPL2 software. Read the file COPYING for infos!

In the man page you write, however:

No guarantees or warranties or anything are provided or implied in any
way whatsoever. Use this program at your own risk. Permission to use
this program for any purpose is given, as long as the copyright is kept
  intact.

Could you please clarify which license applies (preferrying the former,
i.e. GPL v2).

Thank you for the clarification,

Greetings

                 Helge
