Hi Jamey, /usr/bin/awk is a symbolic link to the real awk alternative installed on your system. If I understood your report correctly, you was installing a new Debian testing system. While still at the first installation run, you was downloading/unpacking/configuring both awk (which one?) and libpaper1. I wonder if it is possible that the awk link was not yet there when running the postinst script for libpaper1.
