I'm still seeing this behavior in debian-live with latest lenny packages:
Get:22 http://127.0.0.1 lenny/main squashfs-modules-2.6.24-1-486
2.6.24+3.3-4 [21.9kB]
Get:23 http://127.0.0.1 lenny/main squashfs-modules-2.6-486 2:2.6.24-4 [3742B]
Get:24 http://127.0.0.1 lenny/main squashfs-modules-2.6.24-1-686
2.6.24+3.3-4 [22.7kB]
Get:25 http://127.0.0.1 lenny/main squashfs-modules-2.6-686 2:2.6.24-4 [3770B]
Get:1 http://127.0.0.1 lenny/main squashfs-tools 1:3.3-4 [92.6kB]

(in qemu)
loop: module loaded
squashfs: Unknown symbol sqlzma_init
squashfs: Unknown symbol sqlzma_un
squashfs: Unknown symbol sqlzma_fin
modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting squashfs
(/lib/modules/2.6.24-1-486/extra/squashfs/squashfs.ko): Unknown symbol
in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

Please let me know if there's more data I can provide, but it doesn't
appear to me that this bug is fixed.

Will
