Hi Georg

I'm lowering the severity because I know that it works for many users.
It works perfectly for me for example. It must be something related
to the configuration.

A couple of things for you to check:
* Have you any font server in the X configuration file? If so remove it please.
* The list of font paths seems a bit short, can you send me the config
  file for X so I can take a look at it.
