Package: libcairo2-dev
Severity: serious

apparently libcairo2-dev is missing a dependency on
libxcb-render-util0-dev, leading to build errors of the form

<doko> checking for gtk+-2.0 >= 2.4... Package xcb-renderutil was not
found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the
directory containing `xcb-renderutil.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH
environment variable Package 'xcb-renderutil', required by 'cairo',
not found
<doko> configure: error: Library requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.4) not
met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if
your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find
them.
<doko> make[3]: *** [configure-target-libjava] Error 1
<doko> any idea?
<pusling> libcairo-dev does not depned on libxcb-renderutil-dev ?  (or
something like that?)
<doko> I can't find anything providing `xcb-renderutil.pc'
<pusling> doko: my rss feed just described a brand new
libxcb-render-util0-dev package - that would be my guess
<doko> thanks, that seems to work. we should declare
build-dependencies for toolchain packages frozen at the same time as
we declare toolchain packages frozen
<pusling> toolchain is using X and gtk ?
<pusling> wow.
<doko> gcj
<pusling> ah
