As you might have guessed from the initial bug report, my kernel is custom built. As it so happens, I don't use any RAM disk for start-up. I would then assume initramfs is not the culprit. If you're sure this isn't a GRUB problem then I'll defer to your judgment. If it isn't GRUB then I'd have to assume GRUB just isn't playing nicely with my kernel (config attached)?
