I don't think that untagging it without prior discussion with the maintainer is fair. The fix is quite simple and has been applied, yes, more than two months ago [1]. However, once installed, the package cannot be loaded through ASDF [2] and this happens independently of this fix. With my Common Lisp maintainer hat on, since cl-geodesics is not really at the top of my priority list [3], I haven't had any time to investigate how to solve the other bug, thus this fix is marked as pending for more than two months. I don't see the point in solving an RC bug is the package isn't usable at all.
