Hi Rob,

I installed a test etch system with a static IP and network-manager installed,
and did an upgrade to lenny.
Everything worked fine, as I expected: NM did not tear down the network
connection and I successfully upgraded to lenny.

I thus downgrade the bug to severity important and mark it unreproducible.

The case is different, when you are using NM and DHCP, then indeed you will run
into troubles, as the 0.6.4-4 prerm script will stop NM halfway through the
update.
But as you explictly said, that you are using a static ip, this is a different
issue. I retitled the bug report to reflect that you are using a static ip.

Cheers,
Michael
