Package: gnuplot
Version: 4.2.4-6
Severity: serious
Justification: no longer builds from source

Hello,

The package gnuplot fails to build on many architectures [1]. For
example, on mipsel, it fails with:

> /nonexistent/.dvipsrc: Permission denied
> /nonexistent/.dvipsrc: Permission denied

[1] https://buildd.debian.org/~luk/status/package.php?suite=&p=gnuplot

There are similar errors on armel and sparc.

The file cm-super-t1.enc is provided by the package cm-super-minimal,
and having it installed makes the build succeed (at least on armel).

I guess this build-dependency is missing, but I still wonder why build
succeeded on many other architectures.

Cheers,

I suspect you've reopened the wrong bug since this is fixed and builds
fine on all architectures? If you disagree please provide more information
as to why.
