Package: aptitude Version: 0.5.2.1-1 Severity: grave --- Please enter the report below this line. --- On my sources.list I have branches: testing, unstable and experimental. When I enter inside the libqt4-dev package and select package version 4.5.1-2 for installation, it crashes with the error message: Uncaught exception: ./generic/problemresolver/choice.h:294: const typename PackageUniverse::version& generic_choice<PackageUniverse>::get_ver() const [with PackageUniverse = aptitude_universe]: Assertion "tp == install_version" failed. Ouch! Got SIGSEGV, dying.. Segmentation fault
Besides that, there were other several occasions where it SIGSEGV out of nowhere as well without any error message. Nothing else is crashing on my system for that matter (so a hardware failure doesn't seem to be the cause here). --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 Debian Release: lenny/sid 990 testing security.debian.org 990 testing ftp.debian.org 990 testing ftp.de.debian.org 500 unstable ftp.debian.org 500 unstable ftp.de.debian.org 500 unstable deb.opera.com 500 stable security.debian.org 1 experimental ftp.debian.org 1 experimental ftp.de.debian.org --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ================================================-+-==================== apt-xapian-index | 0.20 libapt-pkg-libc6.9-6-4.7 | libc6 (>= 2.3.4) | 2.9-10 libcwidget3 | 0.5.11-1 libept0 (>= 0.5.26+b1) | 0.5.26+b1 libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1) | 1:4.3.1-2 liblog4cxx10 | 0.10.0-1 libncursesw5 (>= 5.6+20071006-3) | 5.6+20080308-1 libsigc++-2.0-0c2a (>= 2.0.2) | 2.0.17-2 libstdc++6 (>= 4.2.1) | 4.3.1-2 libxapian15 | 1.0.10-2 zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4) | 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
