Package: aptitude
Version: 0.5.2.1-1
Severity: grave

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
On my sources.list I have branches: testing, unstable and experimental.
When I enter inside the libqt4-dev package and select package version
4.5.1-2 for installation, it crashes with the error message:
Uncaught exception: ./generic/problemresolver/choice.h:294: const
typename PackageUniverse::version&
generic_choice<PackageUniverse>::get_ver() const [with PackageUniverse
= aptitude_universe]: Assertion "tp == install_version" failed.
Ouch!  Got SIGSEGV, dying..
Segmentation fault

Besides that, there were other several occasions where it SIGSEGV out
of nowhere as well without any error message.
Nothing else is crashing on my system for that matter (so a hardware
failure doesn't seem to be the cause here).
