Well, hmm, this ones really got me scratching my head.  The line:
./install-sh -o root -g root -m 644 pcp.lsm README INSTALL CHANGELOG 
VERSION.pcp /usr/share/doc/pcp-2.8.4
... is the _very_ last line of the "make install" phase, so I'm
not finding where any access to a file named "root" happens here.
The 2.8.4 build is successful on every other platform too ... is
this reproducible? (could it be some build host failure - ENOSPC
earlier on?)?  I'm clutching at straws here, I know ... but its
really got me puzzled!
