Package: qiv
Version: 2.0-3
Severity: grave
Justification: causes non-serious data loss

I tried to reopen 294293, but obviously don't know how to do this
correctly...

This causes major breakage in case of fullscreen (you can't destroy a
window when it is the root window!) - renders the X session useless
(see bug 197335). I am marking this grave, because causing the loss
of an X session is data loss.

This bug may well have been there in previous versions of qiv, but it
was hidden - I have pressed y many a time (accidentally and not), and
gotten a background on my root window (using fvwm, not gnome), and it
worked just fine. Now, if I or one of my cats accidentally press 'y',
then I am stuffed. I *really* don't like losing my X session to a
window that can't be moved or lowered or closed or destroyed. I have
verified that I can go back to version 2.0-3, and the problem
disappears. I am using Xorg currently, but the problem also existed
under Xfree86.
