Dear Markus, since I will be away in the next days and I don't want the pcre-ocaml debian package to be unbuildable for long I applied a quick and dirty patch to OCamlMakefile, which simply passes -fPIC to the building of all .o thru ocamlc. There should be a better way ... Kurt, could you please try it on your amd64 box?
