If for some reason you need to CLC to be compatible with older
versions of SBCL, I use code like below:

(or (find-symbol "NATIVE-FILE-KIND" :sb-impl)
(find-symbol "UNIX-FILE-KIND" :sb-unix))))
(when file-kind-fun
(funcall file-kind-fun path-string)))
