This is intriguing because archivemail hasn't changed at all for over a year. It seems that on amd64, mstat is more accurate (the decimal part is no longer zero) which reveals that the mbox _is_ actually modified when in fact it shouldn't. But I still don't understand why this didn't happen before. I'll prepare a fix as soon as I get access to an amd64 box.
