Package: cacti-cactid
Version: 0.8.6e-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
cactid fails to poll SNMP devices after upgrade to libsnmp5 5.2.1.2-1 :
08/08/2005 01:10:04 PM - CACTID: Poller[0] Host[2] SNMP Result: Host did not
respond to SNMP
08/08/2005 01:10:06 PM - CACTID: Poller[0] Host[3] SNMP Result: Host did not
respond to SNMP
08/08/2005 01:10:08 PM - CACTID: Poller[0] Host[4] SNMP Result: Host did not
respond to SNMP
I found two solutions to make cactid work again :
- reverting to libsnmp5 version "5.1.2-6.1"
or
- rebuilding cactid with gcc 4.0.1 against libsnmp5-dev 5.2.1.2-1
