Package: wbar
Severity: serious

Many (most?) of this package's icons are suspiciously taken from Apple's
Mac OS X non-free user interface.

No source code is provided in the source package is provided for them
and there is no statement of the licenses in the copyright file (besides
claiming that they are all under the GPL).

I'm not even sure if this package is redistributable in non-free (thus,
the severity of this bug) and debian-legal should be consulted.

One option of continuing the distribution of this program in Debian
would be to remove all non-free icons from the package and put a
recommendation/dependency on a set of Free artwork.

There are other, less optimal options, like providing a script in the
package to download the icons from any other place if the users wants to
do so. Of course, this package would probably have to be moved into
contrib if this were the case.

BTW, here is a short description of the icons present in this package and
the suspected "cloned"/copied icon that I could recognize at once:

acroread.png: apple's Dictionary
beagle.png: apple's Spotlight
gmplayer.png: apple's iMovie?
gnucash.png: apple's Notes?
nautilus.png: apple's icon from Finder
ooffice.png: microsoft's Office for Mac
thunderbird.png: apple's Mail.app
xmms.png: apple's iTunes

Please, either clarify the situation or fix the problem, so that
Debian's repository isn't compromised from a legal point-of-view.

Regards, Rogério Brito.
