I'm probably missing something since I'm not really familiar with R and its packaging (especially since you talk about R — which I assume is r-base — and Ra — the buggy package I assume). But it looks very suspicious to close a bug in the r-base-core-ra source package by uploading a new r-base package. The former is still BD-Uninstallable on kfreebsd-* (where it never built yet), and I still see xpdf-reader listed in Build-Depends in my sid amd64 Sources.gz file, so I believe this bug is still present; reopening accordingly.
