Package: checkgmail
Version: 1.13+svn33-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

After installing checkgmail, i start and configure my login data.
Confirming with 'OK' checkgmail fails to connect to gmail an responds:
'401 Unauthorised'

The login and password is correct.

I found the solution at the authors home page:
http://checkgmail.sourceforge.net/
Google changed the login procedure and all programs working with the deprecated
fail.

Solution:
run (as root):
checkgmail -update
aptitude install libcrypt-simple-perl

The 'libcrypt-simple-perl' is necessary, because checkmail fail to start when
its not installed.
And says 'please instlaa from cpan 'Crypt::simple'.

Another description of the problem can be found here.
http://www.nowhere.dk/articles/fixing_checkgmails_401_unauthorized_error_in_ubuntu_and_others

IS it possible to include an update into volatile or elsewhere?
