I'm sorry for your sponsor experience, please keep in mind however that
we are all volunteers and sometimes *additional* volunteer activities
(such as sponsoring packages) might fall into cracks. Now, on the
positive side, I volunteer to sponsor your package, but first a few

fix a lot of issues, but I'm skeptical about this one, due to the

So (unless you do some magics in preinst which I haven't checked), the
bug is still there. I'm not sure if it is a bug which belongs to
php-net-ping or to php-pear, but it doesn't seem to be fixed by the
package you're requesting sponsorship for. Can you please clarify this
point? Once it is clear, I'll be more than happy to sponsor you.
Also, there is a serious lintian error reported on your package:

That error makes your package automatically rejected from dak, so it
