I've re-read this bug report, and to me it seems clear that for guile version 1.8 the guile libraries really needs to be in /usr/lib. So there is not much we can do about that.
Thus, can't we just invoke ldconfig in guile-gnutls's postinst and postrm to solve the policy bug? Is there any downside to doing that?
