python-pkg-resources tries to access /usr/lib/python3.1/dist-packages/pkg_resources.py, a file provided by python3-pkg-resources.
as a temporary workaround, i installed python3-pkg-resources and python-pkg-resources' post-install worked. (i'm not sure if this created any files that are not cleaned up later, though.) -- To use raw power is to make yourself infinitely vulnerable to greater powers. -- Bene Gesserit axiom
