Yeah, the problem is in gtkspell in python-gnome2-extras, which has bug related to this python wrapper. I contacted Nikos Kouremenos (upstream developer) and he pinged Sebastien Bacher, who promised to upload the latest upstream version of g-p-e. This is the reason why Gajim's developers included their own gtkspell, which will be removed in the next version of the Debian package; that might cause problems if seb128 doesn't upload. Yann (the maintainer) is getting married in 2 days so I don't know whether he'll be able to prepare/upload the fix. P.S.
