Same behaviour here, *if* a sidebar is open *and* an empty page just
after startup is displayed.
You can close the sidebar and are able to open the extension menu, but
than FF crashes everytime if you try to open some sidebar content
(history, bookmarks,...)
BTW, I had webdeveloper installed (as a user extension) and deinstalled
it, this does not fix the problems.

No, there is no real solution for me up till now using the package. I
can use a crashing, half-functional FF (the security update) or I can
use the version from stable, waiting for the bad guys :(
( BTW: use "apt-get install mozilla-firefox=1.0.4-2" to downgrade)

As stated above, this does not solve the problem of crashes for me.
