Wow. I don't recall policy section 10.1 at all, and I'm not at all sure that I think this makes the world a better place. But, you are correct in your assertion that policy demands this class of conflict be resolved. Johnathan, was there negativity to the change or just a lack of concern about the issue because we though Conflicts would take care of it? Seems to me that making the change is the right solution. Of course, we need to figure out why I'm still getting two failures in the test suite building against current Debian unstable pasted below before I will be able to upload a new version regardless of what we decide on this issue. Any thoughts?
