I've been trying to debug this. Upstream has a bug which they claim to have fixed - the test case they finally came up with at the above URL throws the same assertion, but gave a different stack trace. Upstream's patch is here: http://svn.gnucash.org/trac/changeset/17962 - it would need backporting to apply to 2.2.x. That doesn't look too hard. Frustratingly, I did manage to trigger an identical stack trace this evening while copy/pasting some numbers in a split transaction, but I didn't then manage to turn this into a second test case that would give me some more confidence that these two were the same bug. Vincent: were you using the "Transaction journal", "Auto-split ledger" or "Basic ledger" view? Is there a chance the duplicate transaction you describe is from a copy/paste via the Transaction menu? -- Tim Retout <dioc...@debian.org>
