Having had a look to the packaging changes log, it seems weird to me 0.9-1 builds ok but 0.9-3 doesn't. Can someone confirm 0.9-1 at least works ok on sparc? - If it does not, I don't think this bug should prevent pushing 0.9-3 to Squeeze: this would fix the package behaviour for some people, and introduce no regression for others. - If it does, here is the plan I would favor: either Sparc porters help fixing this bug, or 0.9-3 shall be pushed to Squeeze for other architectures.
