checkroot is not suitable at all in lxc (or any container based virtualization), therefore it should be disabled (otherwise booting a container hangs for several minutes until checkroot times out). the right solution is not to fix checkrootfs, but to just not run it in the first place.

that, with current ifupdown, equates to having no network. which is a bug in ifupdown that is relaying on indirect depends on mountdevsubfs rather than direct depends.
