Package: linux-2.6 Severity: normal
I'm experiencing the same problem in my iBook G4 with an ATI Radeon Mobility 9200. After running the bootloader (tried both Yaboot and GRUB2, single or multiuser), some text messages appear and the screen is clared a couple of times. The following text is printed in white over black lines on a white screen: setup_arch: bootmem arch: exit Two more empty black lines and the system gets stuck in there, rebooting itself after a couple of minutes. In a normal boot (Squeeze/Sid 2.6.32), the screen used to be cleared black and the penguin logo appeared. With 2.6.37 it does't reach this point.
