Package: shared-mime-info
Version: 0.90-1
Severity: serious
Justification: fails to build from source

I am testing a server upgrade from Lenny to Squeeze on a virtual machine
before carrying out the upgrade on the real hardware, when the apt-get
dist-upgrade gets to a certain point, it fails. This seems to trace back
to shared-mime-info which fails with the error 'undefined symbol:
g_malloc0_n'. I have tried the squeeze version (0.71), the sid version
(0.90) and also compiling from sources (0.90), all fail with the same
error.

Thank you,

Tony Folley

See the previous report for a more complete fix, basically I deleted a
conflicting library which shared-mime-info needed to compile/ install. With the
older libglib gone, the install worked.
