Package: gconf2-common
Version: 2.10.1-3

On a Sid box (current as of 2005/09/23, previously upgraded from Sarge),
trying to install gdm without prior installation of other gnome components
results in several gnome packages being pulled in. Among them is
gconf2-common, which fails like follows:

Setting up gconf2-common (2.10.1-3) ...

Creating config file /etc/gconf/2/path with new version
cp: cannot create regular file /etc/gconf/2/path': No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing gconf2-common (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

The directory /etc/gconf/2 does not exist. I suppose it is created by
some other gnome package which I have not installed and which is
not pulled in by a dependency, so this might be a problem in
the dependency definition.

Regards,
Karsten

Changes:
 gconf2 (2.10.1-5) unstable; urgency=3Dlow
 .
   * debian/gconf2-common.dirs:
     - list "/etc/gconf/2" (Closes: #329724, #329789).

This has already been fixed in the upload of gconf2 2.10.1-5.
