Package: cryptsetup
Version: 20050111-3
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hello,

I'm using cryptsetup on todays (2005-08-16) sid but its not useable anymore:

# cryptsetup -v create crypto /dev/hdb2
Command failed: Incompatible libdevmapper 1.01.04 (2005-08-02)(compat) and
kernel driver

maybe it just need a rebuild and stricter dependencies.

The interface don't change since ages and the given message shows up, if
the dm module is not loaded. So I don't see this as a bug, as you don't
showed the relevant part of the output:

| /proc/misc: No entry for device-mapper found
| Is device-mapper driver missing from kernel?
| Failure to communicate with kernel device-mapper driver.
| Incompatible libdevmapper 1.01.04 (2005-08-02)(compat) and kernel drive=
