Thank you Josselin, Can you point me to somewhere that explains how/whether I can restore the earlier behavior in this version of nautilus? The right click menu on the desktop is really useful for me.
I've googled a number of terms and the yelp page doesn't seem to mention this. I didn't want to install gnome-tweak-tool unless absolutely necessary as it pulls in many other packages that would make it more difficult to roll back to the earlier nautilus, if necessary. I will try adding a nautilus --no-default-window --sm-client-id when I get a chance, if you think this is the cause. thanks, --jack --- On Mon, 11/28/11, Josselin Mouette <j...@debian.org> wrote: > From: Josselin Mouette <j...@debian.org> > Subject: Re: Bug#648615: Latest update of nautilus in unstable has removed > everything from desktop > To: "JS" <jsh...@yahoo.com>, 648...@bugs.debian.org > Date: Monday, November 28, 2011, 5:10 PM > Le dimanche 27 novembre 2011 à 19:25 > -0800, JS a écrit : > > Are these changes in nautilus 3.0 or was some default > configuration removed > > that allowed them to work as in 2.30? > > The default configuration has changed. > > -- > .''`.
