However, in the very same version compat was bumped to 9 (which is not
mentioned in the changelog at all). One of the behavioral changes in
compat 9 is:
- dh does not default to enabling --with=python-support
As a consquence, the package doesn't use any Python helper, and hence
doesn't bytecompile its Python modules and doesn't have versioned
dependency on Python.
